News....

08/21/2010 Surfer and Dove's babies were born today. 12 total but we lost one. You can watch them grow on their litter page.

08/18/2010 today is Potato's due day but it appears she is going through a false pregnancy. We hope that Nomi took so our hooded line can continue as planned.

07/23/2010 We have determine that Bleep is sterile due to age after trying both Nomi and Potato with neither pairing resulting in a pregnancy. Krum will take Bleep's place and we will start with Potato. If Potato does not catch then we will replace her with Nomi.

07/02/2010 RIP EKO Don't Break The Ice, EKO Stratego, SGR Lucky Dice and SGR Lucky Clover. I will miss you guys! All four were euthanized before going into the 4th of July holiday weekend due to declining health.

01/19/2010 MyMy gave birth to 11 babies: 5 girls and 6 boys. Everyone is doing really well. Check out the Litter Page.

01/14/2010 MyMy (ODD Myish Lissah) has steadily gained weight and is due Tuesday January 19th. 

01/04/2010 SGR Fantasia passed away early this morning at 30 months of age. RIP Fantasia, you will be greatly missed.

12/27/2009 While we wait and evaluate Dinah on whether or not to pair her with Surfer again, we have decided to pair Merlin with MyMy. Details will be posted soon.

12/19/2009 Dinah's birth resulted in two stillborns. It appears Dinah reabsorbed some of her litter resulting in a vet visit and a shot of oxytocin which made the contractions much to hard for the living babies to survive through.

12/13/2009 Dinah was paired with Surfer and is steadily gaining weight. Babies are due December 18th.

10/12/2009 Several updates throughout the site. ODD is preparing to begin show Quarantine/Isolation in preparation to attend the RFL show in November. QT starts October 14th.

09/15/2009 We lost our Elizabeth today who was 34 months old. Elizabeth was the last of the group of rats that traveled with me from WA state when we moved to Ohio. Rest in Peace Elizabeth.

09/14/2009 The babies are getting so big! Updated photos added to the litter page.

09/12/2009 Old man Ben passed away today. He was 34 months old. He is survived by his last remaining sister, Elizabeth. RIP Ben.

08/18/2009 Tropicana gave birth to 8 babies early this morning. Everyone is doing great! Litter page can be seen here.

08/07/2009 Tropicana is steadily gaining weight with a total of 46g gained thus far. Due date is August 17th.

07/07/2009 We lost our Abernathy today. He was such a special boy. RIP Abers, we miss you.

07/05/2009 Himi boy Meeks passed today. Poor old boy, RIP. We will miss you.

02/24/2009 We lost our little rescue dwarf Elvis today, he was 30 months old. We miss our little man.

02/14/2009 paired DAZL Litha with SGR Lucky Clover.

01/27/2009 We lost Dirk today, he was 27 months old. RIP our lil Dirky Turkey.

01/26/2009 SGR Jive gave birth to 16 babies - 7 girls and 9 boys. Everyone is doing very well. Jive is such a good mom.

01/23/2009 Placed Jive into the nursery. Babies will be arriving soon!

01/22/2009 Picked up Bleep and Surfer from the meet up with a few fellow breeders. Both will be in quarantine until 02/13/2009

01/20/2009 Did a few updates throughout the site. Jive is steadily gaining weight and will be moved into the nursery Thursday evening.

01/15/2009 Updates throughout the site. Moved EgoXIce to the past litters page and added DiceXJive to the current litters page.

01/14/2009 Dice and Jive have been paired. Steady weight gain has been recorded. Babies due the 25th of this month.

12/15/2008 Ego x Ice babies are two weeks old and everyone has their eyes open. Photos updated on the Current Litters page.

12/09/2008 Ego x Ice babies are 8 days old today. Updated their litter page with photos.

11/11/2008 Converted the Adoption Form to a auto submission form. The option of emailing the Adoption Form is still available. The new form can be found here.

11/08/2008 We have begun pairing Ego and Ice together. Mating was observed the evening of the 8th. Will announce when pregnancy is confirmed. 

11/07/2008 Everyone that was in show isolation was brought home today! We really missed everyone especially the squishy cuddly boys!

10/22/2008 We said good-bye to Cho Chang  today. She was PTS due to a Pituitary Tumor. We miss really miss our Cho!

10/22/2008 We have plans to pair Ego and Ice together the 2nd week of November. Check back often for updates.

10/20/2008 We had to say goodbye to Neal and Potter today. Neal age 28 months suffered from old age and chronic abscesses and Potter age 23 months suffered from total hind end paralysis. We miss you both. 

10/18/2008 RFL show today. What a blast we had. Thank you RFL for such a wonderful experience. Results: Ego 3rd Best Non-Agouti Self Buck out of 25, Fantasia 2nd Best Provisional Doe out of 7, and Star 1st Best Non-Agouti Buck Berkshire by default.

10/05/2008 RooRoo age 29 months was helped over the rainbow bridge today due to complications with a severer eye infection that eventually resulted in her eye rupturing. 

09/16/2008 Moved Litha from the Incoming page to the Does' page. Placed notice about observing Pre-Show Isolation on the main page. PSI will begin September 18th 2008 at a separate location.

08/14/2008 Tango's babies were transported to Debbie in Illinois to be placed with her adopters, minus SGR Samba who stayed with at DazzleMe Rattery.  Picked up DAZL Litha and placed her in QT. (thank you Melina for helping transport and for Litha!)

06/30/2008 SGR Fiery Tango gave birth to 10 babies!!

06/21/2008 Added SGR Fiery Tango to the site. She is due the beginning of July.

06/14/2008 NIRO held its 2008 show in Naperville, IL. We had a great time! Debbie has once again been kind enough to allow me to raise one of her litters. Look for news about SGR Fiery Tango.

05/15/2008 - Chatter Bug (rescue/pet) passed at the age of 39 months  old. We will miss our Chatter Buggy!

05/10/2008 SGR  Fantasia gave birth to the Three Lucky Charms

03/27/2008  We lost Inky (rescue/pet) the hairless today. She will be missed.

01/22/2008  Riker (rescue/pet) the hairless passed today due to an  ear infection that would not respond to antibiotics. I will miss my little naked man!

12/19/2007 Si PTS during surgery - thought to be pyometra but was a tumor instead. We will miss our Si girlie.

11/15/2007 We have arrived in Toledo. It was a long 3 days but all the ratties traveled very well.

10/01/2007 The house has sold!! During the next month or so we will be preparing for our cross country move. YAY!

08/10/2007 We lost Dot Dot today. We rescued her back in April of 2006. She was always a sickly girl but she was well loved and definitely one of the favorites. We will miss you Dot Dot!
